Want to Find Your Dream Job? Read “Caught Between a Dream and a Job”

Are you caught between a dream and a job? You are if you want to start a business, or find your dream job, but you just don’t know how to get there from where you are today.  So says Delatorro McNeal II, the author of the book Caught Between a Dream and a Job: How to Leave the 9-5 Behind and Step into the Life You’ve Always Wanted.

Like Cameron Johnson, author of You Call the Shots, I first heard about Delatorro McNeal from The YES Movie, where he was one of the successful young entrepreneurs featured in the film.

Who This Book is For

Caught Between a Dream and a Job is a great resource if you want to understand your life’s purpose or destiny, realize your full potential, and get paid to do the work you love.  And who doesn’t want to do that?  😉

In this interactive, conversational how-to, guide, you’ll learn step-by-step how to clarify your life’s purpose, identify your dream job, and make a plan to transition from where you are today to where you really want to be.  Inside, you’ll find…

  • A Purpose Inventory Test to help you discover what you were born to do.
  • Twelve steps that you can take immediately to begin moving toward your dreams.
  • Dozens of practical tips for making the best transitions from a job to your dream, taking you from where you are today to stepping-stone jobs that move you closer to your dream, to your dream job, then on to the fulfillment of your ultimate dream.
  • Delatorro McNeal II

  • Eight facts about your dream job that might surprise you.  Here’s one of them:  Your dream job is not permanent…because we never “arrive.”  We’re always learning, dreaming, and growing.
  • Attitude tips for success in your dream job.  Hint:  The kind of job you have is often a function of your state of mind or attitude.  Think you’re in a “dead-end job” right now?  It is only one if you make it so.

One thing I especially appreciated about this book was that McNeal takes a holistic approach to life and work.  He doesn’t just focus on designing your career, but he helps you design your career around the ultimate life you want.

Caught Between a Dream and a Job is a realistic and doable guide to help you frame your work around your life – instead of the other way around – and become the person you’ve always wanted to be.  Every 9-5’er in the world ought to read this. Del and I have been part of the same ministry for a few years. I have had the pleasure to meet him personally, plus I’ve heard him speak. He’s the real deal! He lives what he writes and speaks to others about. I just ordered “Caught Between A Dream And A Job” last week and am waiting for it’s arrival. I’m very anxious to read it. If anyone is looking for a speaker, I highly recommend Del! But I also want to recommend his books. Caught will be my second book from Del. He writes as if he’s standing right in front of you having a conversation. The only problem with reading Del’s books is … you just cannot hear that laugh that lets you know that Del is in the room!
